But that doesn't mean the whole team knows about it. Only a few key players can decide the match. The entire team never knows about unfair treatment. We come across grey eminence in all sports and (almost) at all levels – from regional and junior leagues to the absolute highest. We must point out that match-fixing is a crime. This organized crime can bring people behind bars. It can also lead to an additional fine, and the team behind the crime can drop to lower competition (in the past, for example Juventus).
It's absurd when someone tells you they have information about the arranged match (see unnamed tipsters)! Anyone who knows about this will not bring such information out and risk someone getting arrested or fired.

When can such actions be expected?

It happens when the team isn't interested in winning the game, or when both teams will benefit from the result. Imagine the last round of a regular season. Both teams would advance to the playoffs in the event of a draw. In case of no draw, only one team would go further. In such cases, draws occur very often. Another example is a team on descent to the lower league. At the end of the season, it can have 6, 7 wins in a row and beat the teams at the top (they don't necessarily need more points).
Another unfair act is the agreed results of matches in live time. We have a home team that is very confident about the opponent. At the beginning of the match, the opposite team will score two goals, and thus the odds of winning the home team will increase significantly. Then the home team will score six goals in a row. We come across such turnovers very often. The team coach never knows about these events.
The grey eminence also includes a situation where players agree with each other and deliberately lose at the expense of dissatisfaction with the coach or upper management.
